You Never Have to Feel Rejection Again, Ever
Have you ever felt the sting of rejection? There are innumerable life situations where rejection takes place.
When you were young, did you ever get picked last to be on a team? As a teenager or a young adult, did you ever have someone break up with you because they were interested in someone else? Maybe it wasn't a blatant rejection. Maybe it was just a matter of not being accepted. Perhaps you're at a party or a social gathering and you just feel like you don't fit in. You feel as though no one makes you feel welcome, and everyone seems to be politely avoiding you. To all of these situations, let's say a big “ouch!”
Rejection hurts. It really hurts!
In some cases, feelings of rejection can stem back and have their roots in your childhood. Parents that weren’t planning to have you. Parents who favoured another sibling. Brothers and sisters who never included you in their activities. In these cases and many others, you grow up with an underlying feeling of rejection built right into your personhood. Once that happens, every situation of your life gets interpreted through these rejection feelings that are so deeply ingrained in you. You can actually feel rejected in situations when there is no rejection, but because you're so programmed to feel rejected you read into almost every situation and every conversation!
Well, I have great news today! I'm here to tell you that you never have to feel that rejection feeling again, ever!
God, the Creator of the universe, has accepted you into His Life!
Regardless of your upbringing, regardless of how you feel about yourself, past or present, God has accepted you. You are accepted by Him!
Here are a few verses to remind you of your acceptance...
“As a soothing aroma I will accept you when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered; and I will prove Myself holy among you in the sight of the nations.” Ezekiel 20:41 (NASB)
“The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.” Romans 14:3 (NIV)
“Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.” Romans 15:7 (NASB)
“...to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:6 (NASB)
My friends, these verses are the truth, the negative feelings you have about yourself are not true!
Believing the truth about yourself is believing what God says about you.
You are accepted by God. Believe it! Live out of the truth and make it part of who you are!
