Winter 2012 Teaching Schedule:
A New 2-part Study: CHRIST AT WORK by Greg Ballard
Part 1: The Exchanged Life – A Working Bible Study – 4 weeks Beginning Sunday, Jan. 15 – Feb. 12 (No class Jan. 29th – General Meeting) Coming to faith in Christ and understanding that Jesus died to pay for our sins to secure a place for us in Heaven is only half of the good news of the gospel! This will be a good introduction to the foundational truths of the “Exchanged Life” as well as a challenging review for those who have come to understand the life of the indwelling Christ.
This will be an interactive and participation based study. Come prepared to do some work!
Part 2: Experiencing The Exchanged Life – 6 weeks – Beginning Feb. 26 – April 15 – (No Class March 18 for March Break, and April 8th Easter)
Coming to understand the indwelling life of Christ in the believer is a liberating and life-changing experience, a work that only Christ Himself can do. However, for many of us, the experience of the “no longer I but Christ” of Galatians 2:20 still seems like a battle. What is Jesus at work doing in our hearts now? Are there hints in Jesus’ earthly ministry to what He wants to do in our hearts today? Is there more freedom for us to enter in to? More healing from past hurts?
The goal of this study is to go deeper into some of the things in our hearts and minds that are preventing us from experiencing Christ as Life, and to experience true healing and freedom found only through the work of the Cross.
This study will be a mixture of lecture style teaching and interactive participation. Come prepared to do some work!
The above studies will be held Sundays in the Café from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Lincoln Road Chapel, 145 Lincoln Rd. Waterloo ON.
Tuesday night, January 24th, 2012 – we’ll be completing ACTS part 1 by Charles Price (2 weeks), then ACTS Part 2 will begin on February 7th, 2012 and run for 12 Tuesday nights. We will begin each Tuesday at 7:30pm (new time). We welcome you to this exciting video series. Come and enjoy some good teaching, discussion and fellowship.
